There's an element that can be found all over your home, and it's so important it can have a huge visual and functional effect on an entire room. With 2016 newest first day, consider doing some work to make this vital home element look its best.
Let's begin our lighting idea:
Clean, Update or DIY your home's lighting!
From table lamps to wall sconces to hanging pendants to overhead ceiling lights to chandeliers to floor lamps to desk lights and more — there's probably not a room in your home that doesn't have some sort of light fixture in it. This weekend, consider taking a tour of the most important light fixtures in your home to decide if there's one of three things you can do to make them better!
Firstly, you can clean your fixtures to make them look better and give out more light. Secondly, you can update your fixtures by giving them a new look or adjusting their look to fit your style better. And lastly, if you don't have a light fixture in a spot where you need one (or really, really hate the light fixture you've been using temporarily until you could find something new), you could spend this weekend DIYing a fixture (it's a lot easier than you think!)
